Job Description

• Perform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirements
• Weld production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel.
• Precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG
• May operate program welding machine to weld production units
• Set up fixtures and Client out work for production and prototype piece parts
• Trouble shoot problem welding areas
• May train other welders and/or provide welding support to others as needed
• May work with various internal departments to establish welding process parameters
• Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
• Participate in continuous improvement processes
• Recommend changes to and participate in the review of manufacturing procedures
• Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision
• Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required

• Three (3) years of related welding experience
• Must obtain and maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product requirements
• Trouble shoot problem welding areas
• Previous experience with TIG and/or MIG
• Welder must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
