Residential Manager – OPWDD / IDD Services

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Staten Island, NY 10309

Earn $42.00 per Hour

HumanEdge Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of an OPWDD residential program supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of an OPWDD residential home.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, and quality standards.
• Coordinate appointments, medical follow-up, and community activities.
• Monitor documentation, incident reporting, and Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents.
• Participate in staff scheduling and coverage as needed.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, clinicians, families, and leadership.

Must-Haves

• Previous Residential Manager, Assistant Manager, or House Manager experience in an OPWDD residential setting
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and person-centered services
• Valid New York State Driver's License (Required)
• Clean driving record and willingness to transport residents as needed
• High School Diploma required (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience supervising DSP staff
• Ability to complete required background clearances
• Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• SCIP Certification
• AMAP Certification
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral or medical needs
• Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, or other languages)
